Meet Dr. Sridevi Alapati

I love kids! Their innocence and ability to express anything they're thinking - with no hesitation - makes spending time with them a real joy.

As a pediatrician, I enjoy helping parents. Being the parent of two kids helps me understand the concerns parents have about the physical, mental and emotional needs of their children. I also like taking the time to explain things to kids and to talk with teenagers about their concerns. Getting to know families helps to encourage healthy lifestyles and motivate kids and teenagers to reach their goals. Seeing children grow into healthy, happy adults makes me immensely happy.

I find the challenges and pleasures of interacting with children and participating in their development exceptionally rewarding. It's an honor to help my patients and their families through all of the stages of childhood. From the innocence of infants to the energy of a toddler who has just learned to walk and run, the curiosity of a school-age child, even the emotional turmoil of an adolescent, I'm there every step of the way.

I grew up in India where I completed medical school. I completed my residency at Texas Tech University in Amarillo and joined a private practice at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, Texas. While there, I served as chair of the department of obstetrics/gynecology and pediatrics. After that, I moved to Frisco to be near my extended family and joined Cook Children's, Aubrey. I'm married to Sridhar, who is an entrepreneur, and we have two wonderful kids, Pranav and Eesha. We also have the cutest golden retriever, Rocky. When I'm not seeing patients I enjoy yoga, puzzles, cooking and spending time with my kids.
