Walking Instructions: Fort Worth Campus

Starting April 14, Dillard Garden and 7th Avenue between Cooper Street and Terrell Avenue will be closed permanently.

For those attempting to reach the north side of campus from the south side of campus, this will close the primary walking route to access Cook Children's Medical Center and Dodson Speciality Clinics. If you are able to repark in the P1 garage (8th Ave. and Pennsylvania Ave.) or the 7th Avenue garage (7th Ave. south of Pennsylvania Ave.), please do so.

If you need to walk from the south side of campus to the north side, please see the map and step-by-step route below.

Directions start at 7th Avenue and Terrell Avenue.

From 7th and Terrell Avenue intersection, walk east in the direction of the skybridge over Terrell Avenue.

Continue to 6th Avenue.

Take a left at 6th Avenue and cross at the crosswalk.

DO NOT ENTER THE HOSPITAL VIA THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. Congesting this area will delay critical life saving services to our patients.

Continue down 6th Avenue to Pruitt Street.

Turn left at Pruitt Street.

Continue down the sidewalk.

Follow the sidewalk as it turns right, then left.

You should be at the Pruitt St. entrance to the medical center. If you are going to the medical center main entrance or Dodson Specialty Clinics, continue following below.

Continue walking down Pruitt St.

Turn left at 7th Ave.

You are now at "The link!" You can access the medical center north tower on your left or Dodson Specialty clinics on your right. If you are going to the medical center main entrance, continue following below.

Continue walking down 7th Ave.

Turn left on Cooper St. at the roundabout.

Cook Children's Medical Center main entrance is straight ahead. You made it!
